Create a personalized shot list with your wedding photographer.

Welcome to Wedding Wednesday's where I'll share some tips to help make sure your wedding day is the best day ever!

Todays Tip: Create a personalized shot list with your wedding photographer before your big day. A shot list refers to a list of photos that you want to have captured outside of the standard events as the day unfolds. Your love story is special and unique, and your wedding pictures should be too! Make sure to discuss special items, personal details, important people, and any essential moments that you want captured. Are you doing a first look with your fiancé, father, or bridesmaids? Are you wearing any special jewelry? Including any family heirlooms or memorial pieces? Wearing something borrowed or blue? Do you have any special family members you’d like to spend a little extra attention on? Definitely tell your photographer!

The one checklist your wedding photographer will absolutely need is a list of family groupings with names listed out for each set. Your photographer should have a template to help you get started. Family groupings usually include three sets: your family, your fiancé’s family, and both families blended together. Be sure to let your photographer know about any potentially awkward family dynamics while creating these lists.
