Amber & Nate

Over the summer I had the honor of catching this sweet couples surprise proposal! This time they reached out to capture some beautiful memories of them where they first met several years ago. If you know these two personally you'll understand the depth of these photos.

Although this area was devastated by Hurricane Michael landfall a little over 4 years ago, the old Mexico Beach Fire Department and the memories it holds still stands. Inside the building you'll find watermarks on the walls from the 17.5 ft storm surge that swept over the entire city. "Mexico Beach Strong" is written in red spray paint across the top exterior of the building, signaling hope to the community and paying respect to the residents, volunteers, and first responders who have worked tirelessly to lift Mexico Beach up from the rubble. Behind the old fire department remains a slab of concrete where the Mexico Beach Police Department once was. A generator sits on top of the concrete slab surrounded by pieces of wood, those two items a stark reminder of the long weeks and months following the monster category 5 hurricane back in 2018. Mornings would start with the sound of generators cranking up, all around you could hear the sound of hammers and saws.

And then there is Amber & Nate, giving contrast to what was surrounding darkness. Full of happiness and adoration for one another. The way he looks at her is the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Thank you both again for letting me capture and share a little bit of your love story in the making!!
